The Achieve Center in Wausau is grateful to CoVantage Cares for its $10,000 gift in support of a new program, Treatment Focused Childcare, scheduled to open in spring 2022. The donation will help launch a unique program that offers an opportunity for children with challenges to excel in a nurturing and therapeutic environment. Children facing developmental and health challenges will achieve what otherwise may have been beyond their grasp in an environment that focuses on their strengths and abilities.
According to Charlie Zanayed, President of CoVantage Cares Foundation, “The Cares Board and I are grateful to support the Achieve Center’s important work in Central Wisconsin by helping to provide the needed funds to open the new Treatment Focused Childcare program to help children in our community.” The Achieve Center was established in 2007 as a non-profit pediatric developmental clinic specializing in the assessment, treatment, and support services for children and their families with neurodevelopmental disorders, chronic health issues, and physical challenges. CoVantage Cares, the charitable arm of CoVantage Credit Union, shares with the Achieve Center dedication to the families of Marathon County. CoVantage Cares recognized the Treatment Focused Childcare as an exceptional opportunity for our community’s children and families through its donation. Now accepting reservations, the program provides the inclusive intensive therapies children with complex needs require. It allows parents to maintain employment knowing their children’s needs are being met. “Treatment Focused Childcare integrates intensive prescribed therapies with childcare and early childhood education throughout the child’s day,” said Carol Wesley, Executive Director, and Pediatric Developmental Specialist at the Achieve Center. “This method of caring for children has been developed to optimize each child’s strengths and abilities and will assist children in accomplishing all that is possible in an environment where they can achieve their full potential. CoVantage Cares has given a special gift to special children and families in our community.” The program provides a high level of affordable licensed therapeutic childcare including:
The Achieve Center Treatment Focused Childcare program will provide care for children ages 20 months through 4 years. Children will receive the treatments they need from licensed clinicians with specific goals determined to meet their needs. “Parents can confidently entrust their children’s care to the Achieve Center’s Treatment Focused Childcare program knowing their children are developing and flourishing in an environment sensitive to their needs in the capable hands of a dedicated experienced professional staff.” said Wesley.
